How To Save Aadhar Card Digitally In Mobile Phone


This is an application launched by UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India). This provides an interface to Aadhaar number holders to carry their demographic information. It includes Name, Date of Birth, Gender and Address along with photograph as linked with their Aadhaar number in smart phones.

By using this Application, there is no need to carry Physical Aadhar card with you for all the time.

Features of Aadhaar app:
This provides a convenient way to carry Aadhaar card number with demographic details anywhere, anytime.
This Aadhaar app has an automatically generated TOTP feature. TOTP stands for Time Based One Time Password, which automatically verifies without asking the user.

Users can share their QR code  and eKYC data. By this, people can scan your QR code and retrieve your Aadhaar card information.

Bio-metric locking/unlocking is the most important feature which helps you in locking your bio-metric details. once it is locked, then it can be unlocked by the person who locked it or disable the locking system.

You can also update your Aadhar profile data.

Guidelines for accessing Aadhaar app:
Mobile Aadhaar application can be downloaded from google play store. Please make sure that the developer is UIDAI in-order to avoid downloading fake applications.
After installing the application, it asks for password as soon as it gets opened. Password should include alphabets in capital and small, numbers, atleast  1 special character.              

 Eg :Save@1234. Minimum length is 8 and maximum is 12 characters.
Aadhar profile can only be downloaded in your mobile device which is already linked with Aadhar card.

TOTP gets generated and verified automatically. There is no need for manual entry of OTP.
mAadhaar fetches information from UIDAI and it works only in the online mode.

 One or more profiles registered under same mobile number then it can be added in your device. But it is limited upto 3 profiles.   
Not more than one Aadhar profile can be active at a time.
